i have parted out numerous westys over the years, and i dont usually take the plywood subfloor.. because they usually dont go bad, and people usually want something else like pergo or wood or whatever.. but on the few i have saved, i have noticed that the underside of the subfloor often has contact paper on it...like what you would put on the surface if it were exposed... but this side was turned down.. anyway i didn't think much of it.. So this weekend a buddy of mine just pulled the westy interior and subfloor out of his '83.5 westy....it had never been removed before.. and on the bottom of the plywood subfloor was contact paper with a strange buffalo bill cowboy pattern on it.. no joke.. anyone else come across this before? im thinking that Westfalia-Werke used recycled wallboard paneling for their subfloors definitely bizarre..
