I put an EJ22 from a '93 Legacy in my '91 GL which had a 2.1L wbx in reasonably good condition. I got about a 1 mpg increase in mileage. If I could restrain myself to accelerate, etc. at the same rate as I had with the wbx, I'm sure the mileage increase would be more. Go for it! Larry A.
