I don't have any problem accelerating from a standstill. But trying to get back up to 65 going up a mountain with a full camping load just ain't happening. I think I shock a lot of people in this town when I pass the daylights out of 'em at 30-40 mph. To be fair, I'm running a fairly recently rebuilt 2.1L engine in my '87 auto Westy and I drive it like one of the guys at the shop says to, like I stole it. MPG? Eh, I remember getting 18 MPG ONCE since I've had my van. Good luck with your swap and let us know how much fun it is! Marc Perdue On Sat, Jul 8, 2017 at 10:10 PM, Annie S.
