I don't have any problem accelerating from a standstill. But trying to get back up to 65 going up a mountain with a full camping load just ain't happening. I think I shock a lot of people in this town when I pass the daylights out of 'em at 30-40 mph. To be fair, I'm running a fairly recently rebuilt 2.1L engine in my '87 auto Westy and I drive it like one of the guys at the shop says to, like I stole it. MPG? Eh, I remember getting 18 MPG ONCE since I've had my van.

Good luck with your swap and let us know how much fun it is! Marc Perdue
