Last couple of weeks I've been testing my fridge extensively, recording various data etc.
Years ago I managed a delta t of 22-23 c on propane. Now I'm just barely hitting 21 c delta t on propane . I use the term delta t for the diff between van and fridge temp.
21 c diff is fairly close to a 40 f diff.
Best in the last test group (7 different tests ) was a delta t of 21.4 C. This was in a hot van, 91.4 F, so fridge temp only got to 54F.
I'm trying to match or better my old record of delta t 22 C , and the great rate of cooling, after some mods I made
spoiler, I think some mods counterproductive to cooling when on propane
Btw, AC power working fine, for example at end of my last test, last evening, I switched to AC power and dropped fridge to -1.1 C with van temp at 18.4
That's 30 f in fridge at 65 f in van , delta t of 35 f.
The lowish delta t is, I think , due to the fridge cycling at that low fridge temp. I've had larger delta t with AC power.
Anyway, I agree with jim that 40 F diff is as good as it gets .
I hope to finish up my series of experiments soon and publish :-)
