Yes, was thinking of something like that. A length of stiffer bailing wire might be easy to fish out of the hole after the paint job is done ? Funny, as I was composing this original post, NPR was airing a blurb on the history of the auto windshield wiper patent in 1904 and the woman who owned it..!
