Having recently done this, I just pulled the spray nozzles out, pulled a bit of tubing out, and left the nozzles attached. Worked perfectly. After paint, I replaced with the 2-spray nozzle versions that GoWesty sells, and popped them back in with a wee bit of silicone sealant behind the gaskets.

Can someone offer a suggestion on a good way to Not loose the ends of the wiper fluid tubes inside the dash, after removing the spray nozzles in preparation  for a paint job ? Thanks.  - john
