Hi all. If I recall, some folks here (attn: Bell Industries??) have installed a timed dome light from another VW into their Vanagon. Save for the voltage supply amount, resistor (not needed with automotive application 12 volt LED?), capacitor voltage rating, switch arrangement, is that VW time delay light basically designed like this? Link to image of schematic for a time delay light: http://www.learningaboutelectronics.com/images/chargeCapacitortolightLEDschematic.jpg I'm thinking of building this but with a 16 Volt 4000 uF (or similar) cap and installing the push button near the ignition tumbler. (I'd thought to tie it to the Su circuit but would rather have the choice of enabling light when needed, not every time I remove the ignition key) Thanks Neil. |
