Get a new valve, not that expensive compared to life and property. Or is it the connection, not the valve, that leaks? In that case, it should be easily fixed. The connection seals like the rest of the gas connections by a conical fit of one side of the connection to the other. If the surfaces are not damaged and are clean, you just need to tighten the nut properly, but not overtight. Check with soap after tightening. Others with more expertise may have better information, so before acting await their contributions. mcneely On Mon, Jul 31, 2017 at 9:41 AM, Sparky S. <schmideda@gmail.com> wrote: > Has anyone fixed a leaking shut off valve on a propane tank on a Westy? > Mine leaks when you open the valve. > Thanks, > |
