I briefly owned a '91 Westy in addition to the '87 Westy we've had for a decade. The newer had lower ride height and shifted much smoother despite having more than twice the mileage. I'm surprised the seller does not provide more drivetrain details.

Where are you located? You might find a sympathetic reader. had not driven one before the '87 test drive.
