Thanks Alistair. My typical MO is "I know enough to get in trouble", so have a small understanding of this circuit thus hadn't thought of deploying a gradual dimming feature. Might be nice to have. Hmmmmm..... that would be determined by type of electrolytic cap? But I see your point: an incandescent bulb might make more sense here. Instead of dimming, maybe wire it up so it honks my horn when light goes out? LOL. (I always "enjoy" hearing that when people lock their cars in campgrounds)
