The Carat sold. Got what I felt it was worth. Just took a while.

Next step - begin planning for a Subaru conversion in my '88 GL. I'm going ahead and plan for the EJ 2.5 engine. But would settle for the less powerful 2.2 if one came along at the righ price. I'm fortunate enough to have a friend a couple of clocks over who has extensive experience on this conversion, and owns two himself. One is an 85 GL for work, the other his WESTY. I have been around and watched him rebuild two of these. I'm impressed with how stout these engined are and how they are put together. One thing my friend advised me to do, regardless, and that was to put in new rings, period! In prepping the engine. Looking forward to the project.

John
