Subject:      Getting the 87 back on the road at long last still many things to
              do

HI 

1.  have an extra rubber strip for  the back bumper if any one needs it 


2. need to get the  2 “ inserts” for the body were the mud flap in front of the propane tank goes   ….. where o where to find  them 

3.  the “ inserts” in the rear hatch / door where the VW  etc emblems go  is this a standard item at the dealer or any parts store ?

4. now that I put fat mat sound deadening in the rear door / hatch need to replace the gas struts they were already weak and now with the additional  weight … well not up to par …..  where are the best and the best price  Thanks for the info on the seal It does close with a little force 

still many  things to do:   lots of fat mat and insulation to instal , deal with the fridge , new water pump in the fresh water supply ,  get my solar panel system all hooked up , getting the remote control rear view mirror to work ,  and then the AC, and checking and improving all the ground connections   etc etc etc seems never ending 

Like I have a new job  ……..

and yesterday  after I moved the van from the garage to in front of our house in Venice  some one between 10 am and 3 pm took a mental tool like a screw driver and 

put a nice 12 inch gash in the new paint on the passenger side door down to the metal  fun fun  

I noticed the new ladder from Gowesty has any one checked it out  seems like it will be a welcome tool to access the upper bunk etc



good to hear about the senior pass I headed toward 75 real soon will check it out….. hope to be on the road after labor day , the kids are in school and the camp grounds are safe
