Thanks for that. Unfortunately, I know from hard experience parts swapping can be fraught with dangers. In this case it was a necessary move. I use the shoebox monitor, and the ECU with the pigtail for hookup was in the Carat, and I SOLD the van - without the pigtail ECU, since I use it for trouble shooting, primarily. I took the one from my 88 GL which was wotking fine, and installed it in the Carat. Now the Carat won't start. Not even stutter.

It's always something!!!
