Over the last year I have been having occasional issues with getting my 84' 4 speed into 1st. Over that time I have rebuilt the entire linkage with GoWesty parts and put in new T3 shifter tabs. I have been greasing the linkage bushings with T3 shifter grease and all works well for a month or so but then I have to clean and regrease the bushings. Once that is done it is fine, for a while. Today it suddenly would not go into 1st. No warning. I got it going using 2nd but at the next stop It would not go into any gear. I had to leave it parked and returned with WD40 to clean the linkage bushings. From underneath I was able to get them cleaned and got the shifter rod moving smoothly in and out of gears. I got inside and it shifted smoothly but when I started it up it would not go into any gear. Turned off it went into gear. What am I looking at here? Any ideas? Thx Patrick
