Subject:   Last call burned out '84 Vanagon
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed

Some of you may recall that my '84 Vanagon burned on July 4. Insurance company has apparently completed subrogation process, and I am supposed to get full stated value. Even if insurance payout would cover full repair of fire damage to exterior and interior of the van, everything that could burn or pyrolyze in and around the engine did so, and the fire department sprayed water on the engine after the fire had burned through the connectors between the inlet manifold and the tubes leading to the cylinder heads. Presumably transaxle, automatic transmission are okay. I am in Macon, GA, so please give me a call at 478-731-2966, if you would like to by the remains from me. Van is at Troopers Collision here in Macon.

John
