Heh. Was curious if anyone would notice the wire colour. Yes; all the same colour. I must've rung out those connections a hundred times before putting it into service. It worked correctly the first time and has been in service for at least a few years now. Thanks for the link though.

I'd seen old posts of folks using something like a D25 connector for a similar repair. What I did was an experiment in some ways possibly to help other "folks like me". ;) But I also knew I'd be back into the dash at least several times more so wanted solid connections that would accept repeated use.

Hindsight but I really wish I'd connected that glow plug wire for future use.
