Good to hear your ride survived. I haven't seen any replies on how to get the nose piece under the grille with the emblem. Mine is pretty smashed in. Going to have to be pulled out to remove the radiator. I also wonder about the rad mounts. Fortunately, it appears the corners it's welded to (under the headlights) appear to be OK. Body guys will have to confirm that.
SO, anyone have any idea where to get a replacement piece?
On the other hand, I borrowed a car and the wife and I found a clear spot to see the eclipse. It was awesome! 360 sunset all around, thunderstorm with lightning spawned to our west, crickets thought it was evening and started chirping, and it cooled off considerably, which was great 'cause in South Carolina it was in the high 90's and humid. The light got really strange just before totality. Although not all went well with this trip, that eclipse was worth it. I hope all that went to see it found a clear spot.
Still, I got to get this fixed and get back home. .Any help on that nose piece is greatly needed. I don't think it can be repaired.

Glad you are ok! I had a collision in my 90 Vanagon Westfalia a few years ago, and the front of the van was smashed in. They had to pull out the front to even get the radiator out of the van! Enjoy the eclipse, and good luck on your Van and insurance!
