Yes, good to know. One question: When I bought my camper (1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile), it had a non-standard oil plug, with a 17" head. Due to the recessed fit of the plug it was very difficult to fit a wrench to the plug head. I obtained a standard plug, I don't remember where now, perhaps used. mcneely On Thu, Aug 31, 2017 at 8:04 AM, OlRivrRat <OlRivrRat@comcast.net> wrote: > Good Info to Know ~ > > Begin forwarded message: > > > From: Dan N <dn92610@GMAIL.COM> > > Date: 30 August , 2017 8:49:45 PM MDT > > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > > Subject: FYI.. oil drain plug > > Reply-To: Dan N <dn92610@GMAIL.COM> > > > > Recently I did an oil change.. the plug came out good, threads are > good... > > but the head of the plug is quite bad...
