I am no expert, but I've used the VW Autobahn antifreeze with many miles. I just don't feel informed enough to switch to anything else. Recently, VW, apparently stopped issuing the blue stuff so now I buy the purple stuff hoping there will be no ill affects (effects?). 253K miles is going to be hard to judge if it does have any problems.

The good news is that the 91 Westy passed smog being back in California... Whew!
