David, it has been a while on this one. The clutch stopped disengaging, I
bled the master cylinder as well as the slave cylinder with no change.
Pulled the trans and found the pilot bearing almost gone. That was
replaced, the pinion shaft was polished and the clutch assy and other misc
parts were reassembled and now all is well. Curiously there was no audible
warning from that bearing. The only warning was that the shifting became
increasingly difficult.
