When I first picked up my 85 we came home on a hot day. Wehn we pulled up to the tole booth the oil light came on. We pulled over and read the owners manual. It said after prolonged driving it the oil light might come on at idle. If it goes away when you excelarate it is ok. So, that is what would happen and all was ok. This never happened again though I did change from 20 50 regular oil to 15 50 Mobil 1 so that might have helped. I’m sure others will have better info but I thought I’d share my similar experience.
