Yes yes, even though I have been swapping it between alternators etc, I know I have to re do the slip rings on the alternator (and spare) some day soon. Talked to the auto electrics guy about it, he wisely suggested he do it rather than me.

Anyway, soldering in new brushes was easy, and cheaper than new reg.
