Subject: Fuel issue: died on freeway
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I'm safe and getting a tow.

2.1 gas engine with original 1.9 digijet FI. Manual transmission. Ran flawlessly for about 1000 miles after 2.1 was installed. Was driven for several 200-500 minutes mile trips plus 2 days around town in the last week.

Can hear fuel pump priming. Engine started and ran briefly 3 times, shorter each time, enough to get off the highway to (unfortunately) an uphill offramp. Not getting fuel at all now - engine will spin and then die with an impressive clatter (engine tin or muffler hitting body) from the sound.

I'm going to replace both filters and the fuel pump. (I have spares at home). Will wet bench test the current bits. I have a spare digijet ECU.

Other possible components/adjustments?
