Are you referring to LED dash lights? This is a distant memory but if i recall, some led festoons are wired in series, some in parallel. Just some WAGing here but if those dash led bulbs are each wired in series, one failed joint would obviously cause the light to fail. But then how many diodes can they fit on such a small thing? Since the incandescent rough service bulbs rend to last longer than the regular type, its one of those things that can reman unchanged for some time.
