I AM hoping the oil/coolant heat exchanger failed, like I know is +possible+ , but I am not counting on it. The motor still runs just like it was... started it for a few seconds to look at my gauges.. no alarming awful noises, no coolant out the exhaust... just that emulsified brew of oily coolant... I'll get back and report my findings after a look this morning. I've already found a 95 ABA Jetta inline, for sale, just 8mi away...or I could just stick the 1.8 l motor back in there.... At the very least, now I'll probably have a reason to replace the head to heater hose Rescue Tape repair that I've been "testing" now for about 4 yrs. DH
