I have a Glowshift sandwich plate so I can connect oil temperature and pressure sensors. Do any of the oil cooler sandwich's allow the connection of sensors. I would hate to lose this monitoring capability. Thanks, Steve

I have a vanastan cooler in my 91 water boxer 2.3. And similar one from junkyard parts on my 86 Syncro 2.1. Both use mocal sandwich with thermostat control in it and stock oil pump. I think I can remove the old stock cooler and just use the sandwich. Depends on adjusting the hose routing which is tight already. I could just disconnect the coolant and run it as is. If it fails you only get a oil leak outside instead of a coolant-oil mix. So is their no reason to run a hose from Tstat to water pump as opposed to caping off the pipe nipples?

Thanks

Bob
