Wheel bearing grease will not leak through the cap from properly packed bearings, even if the cap is loose. Either grease was erroneously put into the cap, the wrong grease was used, or something else is going on. 


The standard fix for a loose cap is to bang it with a hammer a bit to make it slightly oval.

My passenger side wheel bearing cap is loose and there is a grease stain radiating from the center of my wheel. I can only find the RH grease cap. I could use something to plug the hole in the RH cap, but would rather get the correct part. Has anyone been able to find one?
