Hi Dennis and others,

I have the air lift bags in my rear springs. I know now from this conversation that they may do more harm then good by putting weight unevenly on the front tires or putting excessive weight on the front.

Still. I must admit I liked having the bus sit really level by adding about5 extra pounds on the drivers side. and the van sits level, front to back, with about 40 pounds of pressure in both the air lift bags, and, with just a little air going in and out, and my talking tape measure I can match the hight unscientifically from top of tire to wheel well for the rear tires.

I think I fell into the trap Dennis was speaking of, wanting to remove the rear sag and possibly doing more harm then good.

I’m sure mechanically wrong, but it was satisfying before this conversation!

My van could be used, with the rear air bags, to see what happens on scales as the air bags raise or lower either rear corner. of a typical 2 wheel drive camper.

I probably don’t want to know what I’ve done.
