2.5 from an 2001 Forester. It cost me $400 and I drove it home. Trans is a 2012 Forester, which I purchased from ebay for $350. Flywheel, clutch, etc came from RockAuto.

Which engine/trans did you choose and from which Subaru model(s)? Did you buy a complete donor vehicle or just the driveline and ancillary parts?

Finally aquired a a wrecked Subaru yesterday, monday.2005 model tat a tree

fell on. Only damage in the engine area was the alternator. The alternator

case and mount braket was broken. Other than that, all id welll.

I'm pretty excited. It will take it a while to do.
