Subject: Tire emergency in Oklahoma City
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

Hey gang,

Lost a tire 30 minutes ago on I-40, 90 miles east of Oklahoma City. Still not sure what went wrong. My girlfriend was driving, she thought that the wind was pushing us around really hard... until we heard the slap-slap-slap.

The tire is smoked. I'm a little concerned about getting a replacement out here. I'm running:

Westlake radial SC 301 (195 R14c)

The blowout was passenger side rear- both my rears were quite worn. I should probably just get four new tires.

Anyone have a recommendation on a tire shop in OK City? I'm gonna have to roll along on my spare which is a 185.

That shouldn't be too big a deal? 10 centimeters difference?

Or I could try to get all the way to LA on the mismatch set. I have to deal with it tomorrow, and get back on the road. Probably gonna stay in a KOA tonight east of Oklahoma City.

Best to all, Vin
