Save them!
Here in the Northeast they are starting to rust out. Good maintenance is to remove the end plugs, fill with cavity wax and then seal with spray foam. They also get bent from folks using them to jack up the rear without spreading the load and tow truck operators grabbing them with the chain hooks.
