Thank you all for the great recommendations! After cracking the heater box and cleaning everything up I ran some tests on the resistor and it's measuring the correct ohms for each speed but it's surface temperature is exceeding 300 degrees. I can not find specs to know if that is normal or not. I am airing on the side of caution and buying an after market replacement from Van Cafe, because when the blower fan seized it caused the resistor to get very hot and melt part of the plastic where it sits. So, I can't put this resistor back in and be able to sleep at night. It delays my project majorly but I feel like it's better to play it safe in a situation like this. Also, I've read about various replacement resistor configurations (especially the Jeep one) and decided to just go with the aftermarket to keep with the original design.
