Hmmm.... good point. Along with Dennis' comments, theoretically speaking, if fan on at low speed, resistor is being used at its highest resistance, van in stop and go traffic, heater valve opened, would the resistor run cooler inside the box or outside exposed to cooler ambient temps? Dunno.....
