Ha! Well thats a pretty user friendly design considering how much more "stuff" there is in a 2008 sedan.

But then as I'm sure you know, getting the Vanagon dash off is probably the smaller job. Last Spring, working with a more experienced Vanagon person, we had the dash off in about 7 minutes. But for sure. Opening the heat box to replace the fan can take time. I recall that cleaning up all the old grey sealant on my air cooled box took a fair amount of time.
