For background, about 3 years ago when the cruise would not hold speed, I replaced the factory combo brake cancel switch with GoWesty’s kit. No problems there. This summer I installed GW’s exterior LED perimeter light kit which includes a new flasher that works with the LEDs. Lights work great, very nice, but new flasher causes the cruise to cancel when turn signal is used. Instructions say to cut one wire from brake switch and ground one end and cap the other end. Now I have no cruise at all. Tried to reconnect the wires and just use cruise and hit resume after using turn signal. Now cruise doesn’t work at all.

> > I went through the Bentley troubleshooting tree in section 27 and everything checked out with two exceptions. First, step three says to hook up a test light between such and such connector tabs, light should be on, push on brake pedal and light goes out. Not on mine. Hook up light it does not come, but push on brake pedal and then it comes on! Possible second problem, the vss is supposed to have 90 to 120 ohms from slot 5 to ground. Mine shows 1006. > I put out a request for a used vss on Vanagon Ads fb page and a gentleman responded that he had some, but when he checked the ohms on four of them, they all were 950 to 1010 or so. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks, > > Dan Lamb > Country Homes Camper, the Huckleberry Sky
