I went with a Kenwood as well: http://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/excelon/kdc-x998/

With the appropriate adapter it was easy to swap with the factory Heidelberg unit. Yes! I still had it!! It still works!.

Anyway, you just have to be careful with the wiring as you push it back in place but it fits.

I was using an external JVC HD radio unit but wanted it built-in and finally decided to get this unit before these type of units disappear altogether.

Sirius/XM is not built in but can be added. I don't care for their service but posted this for anyone looking for HD built-in.. (hang in there HD radio!!!)

Sounds fine. The only thing you may not like is the screen is a bit difficult to read. This can be adjusted for a fair readable screen but once set up it doesn't matter that much. But I listen to radio quite a bit if not listening to audio books for long drives.

Remote is good. Plenty of buttons to control the unit.
