It was indeed clear and sunny and dry as a bone, except where it was covered in ice from broken pipes. And blowing like stink. The elevators at the Ramada Inn quit working, and the courtyard was flooded (with ice).

The local restaurants worked, though. We a steak house a few miles away where if you wore a tie they cut it off you and nailed it to the wall. Of course people would wear ties there on purpose... Fine steaks. A bit large.
