In general, the comments regarding young drivers and risk are accurate -- just ask the insurance companies, which keep amazingly detailed data on driving and demographics. It is essential for their bottom line. Also the rental companies, which generally don't rent to persons under 25. Each individual is of course, exactly that, an individual. Regarding how young folks perceive their driving style: For many, that is irrelevant -- they are essentially immortal, just ask them, nothing bad will happen. I am not exaggerating much.
