Thanks to everyone who has responded to my request for a list of basic
tools.  I actually asked "Santa" for tools but but he had other great gifts
for me instead of Vanagon tools!  Some of the items mentioned - I never
would have though of.  Mike's offer to personally help me choose the tools
is very kind, and we have already been in contact about it.  His job is
very near where I live.  I once visited and was in awe of the luxury
airplane he was in charge of!
