The 2.0 vanagon heads will be square ports on the exhaust so the customer will probably need a new exchanger/exhaust system as well.

Vanagon/2.0 heads will start with a 071 part number, while the 1.8ltr will be a 022

Valves on a 1.8 are 39 x 33mm Valves

If the are 071 heads then they are 39.3mm intake valves and 33mm exhaust valves,

I have a customer that has an 1800cc VW Bus. He wants to buy a new set of heads. I have a set for a 2000cc Bus (oval exhaust ports). I know the 1800cc head actually have bigger valves than the 2.0l heads but is there anything that would be a problem using the 2.0l heads on an 1.8l Type IV engine? I have been researching this and haven't really found a definite answer on thesamba so I thought I would ask you folks.
