Right. Thanks David. This is what I understood but useful to know the difference. e.g. the type of cable in question VS the WBX green O2 coax type cable.

That shielding foil is pretty thin. Crimping a terminal to that would be akin to pulling hair off a small insect. LOL.

btw. This image shows a section of cable from harness I'm working on. It shows the type of shielding foil and what might've been corrosion? ~ 76 kb image:

Wire strands were nearly black in all conductors but in some cases, one conductor would be clean, one wouldn't. ~ 122 kb image:
