I started out adding HIDs to DOT light housings. The problem I found with them is that unless you have a great electrical system, with no issues, they are going to not come on consistently or flicker, or both. I moved away from them to the LED bulbs that we sell now and they are bright and have no issues (unless you get a dud which is rare).
