I'm running the 50° set up original to my 82. Went mechanical TDI pump to keep it simple with one wire to help avoid codes/limp modes. IIRC the 1z/ahu can use the original 50° oil pan. I believe fast makes 50° oil pans for later TDI engines and Weddle says they have 50° bell housing for 091+094 transaxles.
