When You say "it's bit hard to get to 2nd from 1st gear" are You meaning that there is

Grinding or are 1st & 2nd Hard To Locate ~

If the Later, I would look 1st @ the Positioning of the New Rear Shift Linkage components ~

Start by noting the "@ Rest" position of the Shifter when in Neutral > Should Be All The Way to

the Pass'Side in the 3rd, 4th Gear Track ~

It is very easy to get the Rear Shift Linkage Carrier Mispositioned ~ Sometimes It even gets

Mounted on the Wrong Side of Its Mount Point ~
