Steve, I totally understand the loss of sentimental value. Insurance won’t could not possibly cover that. But you have your memories and hopefully photographs. At the very least start researching what it would cost to find a new Westy to continue to love affair.

There was no corrosion, dents, dings etc. No visible wear either on the interior or exterior. Only about 100k miles. Never broke down on the road. Of course, the insurance company will see things differently - pretty sure I will not get anywhere near what it would take to get an equal replacement, not to mention the lost sentimental value. > > Steve > > -----Original Message----- > From: Ben T [mailto:syncro@gmail.com] > Sent: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 10:33 AM > To: steve meassick <stevem@tdhvac.com> > Cc: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Total loss, RIP > > Sorry this happened to you, Steve. > > Here’s hoping there’s some insurance coverage to pay for your loss. > > > BenT > >> On Feb 21, 2018, at 7:34 AM, steve meassick <stevem@TDHVAC.COM> wrote: >> >> This morning our equipment shed burned down with our 87 Westy camper in it. It was a total loss. I had just put it in the shed this Sunday after doing a bunch of work on it over the winter. We had it since new and had a lot of great memories and trips in it ranging from the great lakes to the Southwest to California to Alaska and Canada. A bunch of other stuff including tractors and a car we're also destroyed but this is the only thing I really had an attachment to. >> >> Here are a couple of photos: >> https://www.dropbox.com/s/ds48dnghbx9crvs/20180220_114030.jpg?dl=0 >> https://www.dropbox.com/s/lm5soz24iycefqg/2018-02-20%2011.40.40.jpg?dl=0 >> https://www.dropbox.com/s/30vjvuep0o0ri36/2018-02-20%2011.47.53.jpg?dl=0 >> >> >> >> Steve |
