Hi Suzy,

Yes, I have that as well and it is great. I also have his winshield cover with side screens. That is a real plus for summer camping.

And, not something I could have made!

I do envy those with so many useful skills both mechanical and creative such as sewing. They all support keeping a vanagon ready for adventures.

I love Fanchers and bought their rain fly that you use over that tent window. It's great, and since I live in Oregon, very handy. Also good when it's hot to keep the sun out up there when the pop up is up.

Best to you, Suzy

We did that and it is great. I am amazed at people’s sewing skills. A friend had a rip in the side of their tent. They sewed in a small window in the spot. they had two people pessing the needle back and forth. > > Eric Caron > > On Feb 16, 2018, at 01:06, Suzy Wojcik <suzywoj@comcast.net> wrote: > > Mine is in great shape and I just replaced the screen by cutting out the old one and using it as a pattern, after purchasing some screening material. It was pretty easy and not too time consuming. Just have to cut the new one a bit bigger so you have space to sew it back onto the zipper. I’ve cleaned my canvas and sprayed it with waterproofing. Has no tears in it so I can’t see replacing the whole thing. Just like my engine in my 87. Why replace it!? It still runs fine! > Suzy > > Sent from my iPhone >
