It may be that it is adjusted Too Far to the Passenger Side ~ Should be

sort of Feather Light against Pass'Side stop ~ Also could be that the Shifter

Mount Plate (Under the Boot) was Set Up for proper Function of the Old Rear

Linkage & is Now Out Of Adjust' due to New Stuff ~ Are All the Components

in the Shifter Pivot @ the Shifters Base in Good Shape & Lubed Well ?
