The second crankshaft seems cheaper than a whole valvetrain with its variable controls. Just put the lower half of an engine on top of the engine itself, sounds easy But those common valve controls probably have a reason, so that second crank must not be that simple... It probably would need to adjust/modify itself to the timing of the first crank. Ouch! I think it needs a belt or chain, controlling timing between both crankshafts via a variable tensioner. That ugly gear in the video combining both cranks can´t be the solution. Package issue in small engine compartments (probably not in the F150 !), and not covering all emissions. Something like that.
