Ken's kit is the way to go. I've installed the Van Café kit that replaces the stock sensor between the push rod tubes, but it's a PITA to install. I've now have the same Glo Shift sandwich plate on my Subaru conversion, and it’s great. I won't tell you what the oil pressure is though, it would only make you feel bad. I do use the VDO gauge in their single dash top holder though, but you have lots of options.

How many miles do you have on that GW 2.2? Your sender wire could be shorting out causing the light to flicker since you don't have the infamous light and buzzer system on your '84. Regardless, every engine should have an oil pressure gauge!

What is the recommendation on a ready made oil pressure gauge kit? My current light seems spotty and want to go ahead and put something in rather than replace.

This would be on an 84 2.2l GW engine with a 1.9 systems.

Thank you kindly! Ryan in Asheville, NC
